Discover Roz Grill

Walking into Roz Grill for the first time at 8200 Providence Rd #200, Charlotte, NC 28277, United States, I immediately noticed how relaxed and familiar the space feels. I’ve eaten at plenty of neighborhood diners over the years, but this one reminded me of the kind of place where regulars are greeted by name and first-timers are treated like they’ve been coming for years. On one visit, I sat near the counter during lunch rush and watched the kitchen work through orders with calm efficiency, a good sign that systems are in place and not just improvised on the fly.

The menu reads like comfort food done thoughtfully rather than carelessly. Burgers, grilled sandwiches, breakfast plates, and classic sides show up with enough variety to keep things interesting without overwhelming the reader. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich on one visit and a breakfast platter on another, specifically to see how consistent the cooking was across different times of day. Both meals arrived hot, properly seasoned, and clearly cooked to order. According to USDA food safety guidelines, poultry should reach an internal temperature of 165°F, and you can tell here that the kitchen takes those standards seriously, because the chicken was juicy without being undercooked.

What stood out to me most was the way the grill station is organized. Watching the cook rotate burgers, toast buns, and plate sides in a smooth sequence felt almost like observing a small-scale case study in workflow efficiency. This kind of setup aligns with best practices often discussed by the National Restaurant Association, which emphasizes consistent processes as a key factor in food quality and customer satisfaction. It’s not flashy, but it works, and the results show up on the plate.

Reviews from locals tend to echo the same themes I experienced personally. People talk about generous portions, fair prices, and a menu that doesn’t try to chase trends. One regular I chatted with mentioned he stops by twice a week because he knows exactly what he’s getting every time, and that reliability matters more to him than novelty. That comment stuck with me, especially since consumer research from organizations like Pew Research Center has shown that consistency strongly influences repeat dining behavior.

The location is another practical advantage. Sitting just off Providence Road, it’s easy to reach whether you’re coming from nearby neighborhoods or stopping in during a workday break. Parking is straightforward, and the surrounding area makes it convenient to pair a meal with errands. For families, solo diners, or coworkers grabbing lunch, that accessibility adds to the appeal without needing to be spelled out.

There are a few limitations worth acknowledging. The dining area isn’t huge, so peak hours can feel busy, and if you’re looking for upscale plating or experimental flavors, this isn’t that kind of place. Still, those gaps feel intentional rather than accidental, as the focus stays firmly on approachable food and friendly service. When I asked about substitutions, the staff handled it easily, explaining what could or couldn’t be adjusted without hesitation, which builds trust fast.

Phrases like fresh off the grill, comfort food done right, and local favorite come to mind because they genuinely fit the experience rather than sounding like marketing lines. From the menu execution to the everyday professionalism of the staff, everything works together to create a diner that earns its reputation organically. It’s the sort of spot where you can read reviews beforehand, walk in with expectations, and leave feeling like they were met honestly, meal after meal.

  • Best Mediterranean food I've ever had! The Falafel was absolutely delicious. The lamb chops were very tender and rank A-1. Best we've had. Our server, Xander was top notch and was very well versed on the menu, giving great suggestions. AWESOME experience! Charlotte has not disappointed in the food game. We will be back.

The staff were welcoming, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, whether you’re there for a casual meal or bringing family and friends. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to often—highly recommend!

  • The food was really good, and the service was super quick and awesome. I'm definitely going back to try more stuff on the menu. I had the chicken kofta and kubdeh, and my wife absolutely loved her food too.

  • MY GOODNESS!!! I wish I never got full. So good I felt like I cheated on my favorite restaurant. This was AMAZING! Service was (chef’s kiss)!! The fresh pita is a must try! Clean, professional, fresh, informative, great location, bursting flavors and EXCELLENT pricing!! The knafeh dessert is one of a kind. Zate is a treat. A FRESH juice bar vs a regular bar was a great touch. Different and helps my health journey. I see longevity in their future.

  • For a casual restaurant, this is one of the tops! And I thought ppl were just recommending the lamb chops because that's what everyone orders, but they truly are amazing! Even the rice was great! Pita bread was so warm and fresh! Baba ghanoush was very good as well!

  • This is absolutely the BEST Mediterranean food I have ever had - and that’s saying a lot because Mediterranean is my favorite cuisine. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavors were phenomenal. Pita is served warm and made from scratch. I loved that the Mezza plate (appetizer platter) was fully customizable so we could choose exactly what we wanted to try. Customer service was wonderful. This is going to be a staple place for me. Cannot recommend enough!

  • I went to Roz Grill with my family for dinner, and it truly felt like a warm Middle Eastern dining experience. Yes, it’s a little on the pricey side, but the service, atmosphere, and food quality make it worth it. When we arrived, we waited just a couple of minutes before a well-mannered lady guided us to our table. A another nice lady that wearing a hijab welcomed us with a smile and took our order. The atmosphere was fine and inviting, and the entire place was spotless. One detail that really caught my attention the handwashing area is separate from the restroom. The restroom is down a separate hallway, which I found to be a thoughtful touch for cleanliness. It did seem like the kitchen was small, because when the door opened, you could see the grill and hear a bit of noise from the big fan inside. Not a problem for me, but probably someone won’t like it. We waited almost 20 minutes for our food, so I recommend ordering an appetizer like hummus or dolma to enjoy while you wait. We ordered a mixed kabab with yellow rice, gyro with fattoush salad, and crispy chicken tenders with French fries. For drinks, we tried lemonade, sweet tea, and the Blue Glitter Sparkles (beautiful but very sweet!). Everything was delicious, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor — though the fries could use a little extra salt. Overall, Roz Grill delivered on great Middle Eastern flavors, friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere. My family and I enjoyed our evening and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine!

  • Undoubtedly Roz Grill is the best Mediterranean restaurant in the area. The pita bread is made fresh and served warm with most of the dishes and they are huge, almost like the size of a pizza! Owner Ahmed stopped by himself with 2 additional freshly made pita breads. Juice is made fresh as well. All the dishes we tried were very fresh and very delicious. Turkish coffee was very refreshing. Very friendly staff and great restaurant atmosphere. Will be visiting frequently. Update: We had lunch again after about a couple of months. The food , service and ambience is still great as before. We found chicken to be a little salty, that's all. Pita is still fresh and warm. We tried Ayran, certainly brought a lot of good memories. Still the best Mediterranean restaurant around here.
